Three Wheel Cars
While three wheel vehicles are really considered motorcycles in the United States some are less motorcycle and more car. Here are some of the more notable three wheel motorcycles that have recently been produced, currently in production, or may be produced in the near future.
Aptera
The Aptera is not in production at the time of this writing. According to their website, their goal is to begin production in late 2008. The Aptera will be offered in an all electric and electric/gas hybrid version. The electric/gas hybrid has a claimed 300mpg! The price is supposed to be under $30,000. We could go on and on about this car but maybe it is just better to watch the video:
Carver
The Carver is an incredible bike that retains a motorcycle like quality through turns but steers like a car. The car seats two riders in tandem. According to the Carver website, this motorcycle has a top speed of 115mph and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds If you live in the United States you might have to wait for this bad boy.
Corbin Sparrow
These one seater three wheel electric cars were produced from 1999-2002. Consider yourself lucky if you see one. Only 285 of these vehicles were produced. They had a top speed of 75mph and a range up to 60 miles.
T-Rex
With a 0 to 60 time of under 4 seconds this just might be the fastest thing on three wheels . The T-Rex is a two seater three wheel car that has been produced for over a decade and is still in production. Want to beat your neighborhood supercar? This might be the vehicle for you.
Zap Xebra
Want to pack 4 people into your three wheel car? Then the Zap Xebra might be a good choice. It has a range of up to 25 miles and a top speed up to 40mph.
